T-Bone Accidents

Intersection accidents commonly result in what is known as a T-bone impact. A T-bone impact occurs when the front of one motor vehicle strikes the side of another motor vehicle. This type of T-bone impact can often cause devastating injury to the occupants. When a car is in a T-bone impact, the full velocity of the other car is felt in the other car causing its occupants to be thrown violently about the confines of the car. Massachusetts rules of the road are quite specific in addressing intersection accidents. Each motor vehicle within the intersection is directed how to proceed into and through the intersection so to prevent T-bone impacts. However, when one does occur, it can cause devastating neurological and orthopedic injuries.

If you have been the victim of a T-bone impact, then it is critical to have an attorney who is prepared to present all facts possible in order to maximize recovery, and to show an insurance carrier or a judge or jury how the T-bone impact caused the neurological or orthopedic injury. This type of impact often results in extensive litigation, including participating in the discovery process, so to establish those facts which serve as the basis for compensation.
